Stillpoint: Center for Spiritual Development is a nonprofit, faith based spirituality center in Las Vegas founded in 2004 by Dr. Roisin O’Loughlin.  The mission of Stillpoint is to provide a gathering space that is hospitable to and nourishing of the spiritual life.   Stillpoint welcomes individuals and groups from all faith traditions who genuinely seek a relationship with the Divine, and those who desire to embrace the sacred in their lives.

Beginning with the core offerings of Spiritual Direction and Lectio Divina Prayer Groups, Stillpoint has grown year by year into a variety of programs including; Enneagram workshops, seasonal Liturgical celebrations and rituals, Centering Prayer, complementary spiritual practices, and community speaker events with international presenters; Fr. Thomas Keating, Fr. Richard Rohr, Brian Swimme, Paula D’Arcy, Diana Butler Bass, and John Philip Newell.

Stillpoint is looking for a full time Executive Director to lead and effectively manage the organization with a current staff of two full time, one part time and several contract employees and numerous volunteers working from an annual budget of approximately $500,000.

The Executive Director is the Chief Executive Officer of Stillpoint responsible for the consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives.


  1. Ensure that the organization has and fulfills a long-range strategy that continues its traditions and achieves its mission.
  1. Provide leadership in developing program, organizational and financial plans, and implements those plans and policies authorized by the board.
  1. Promote active and broad participation by volunteers in all areas of the organization’s work.
  1. Maintains official records and documents, and ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
  1. Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in faith-based spirituality.
  1. Ensure regular formal evaluations of the quality and effectiveness of the organization’s programs and operations.
  2. With the President and Secretary, conduct official correspondence and maintain required records and filings in compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations.


  1. Ensure that the board is fully informed on the condition and general affairs of the organization.
  1. Fully understand the vision and mission of Stillpoint, so as to publicize and promote the activities, programs, and goals of the organization.
  1. Establish sound working relationships and cooperative arrangements with groups and organizations in the community, as well as national faith-based spirituality centers and organizations.

Staff Relations:

  1. Be responsible for the recruitment, employment, supervision, and release of all personnel, both paid staff and volunteers.
  1. Ensure that job descriptions are developed, that regular performance evaluations are held, and that sound human resource practices are in place and followed.
  1. Ensure that an effective management team is in place, with appropriate provision for succession.
  1. Encourage staff and volunteer development and education, and assist program staff in relating their specialized work to the overall vision and mission of the organization.
  1. Maintain a climate that attracts, retains, and motivates a diverse staff of professional employees and volunteers.

Budget and Finance:

  1. Be responsible for developing and maintaining sound financial and reporting practices.
  1. Work with the Finance Committee and appropriate personnel in preparing budgets; ensure that the organization operates within the approved budget.
  1. With the assistance of the Development Committee, ensure that adequate funds are generated to facilitate the organization’s ability to fulfill its mission and achieve or exceed budgeted expectations.
  1. Ensure the organization is in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations in order to maintain its nonprofit status.


  • Mature, faith-filled individual with a willingness to embrace the vision and mission of Stillpoint.
  • Personal and professional skills required to represent Stillpoint in the larger community.
  • Genial, relational personality, with a facility to continue developing a welcoming community spirit that is the hallmark of Stillpoint.
  • At least 5 years in progressively responsible positions, preferably with non-profit organizations.
  • Fundraising experience.
  • Public relations experience.
  • An understanding and appreciation of many faith traditions.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • Demonstrate track record of effective management experience, including supervision of employees and volunteers.
